Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting my site to see what I do. My name is Alisa, and I’m a certified ballroom makeup and hair artist. Though I will always be a forever student, because I’m always learning and improving my skills. As a former ballerina, dance and the performing arts has always been a huge part of my life. Now, I’m a ballroom Latin dancer training with Nadir Bayramov at Dance Latin America in Houston, TX. And I am absolutely thrilled to be able to do my own makeup again, just like when I was a ballerina. The difference now is that I have formal makeup and hair training. Having formal training has allowed me to polish my skills, improve my technique, and learn best practices. As a result of this training and several certifications, I can provide quality makeup and hairstyling services that you can depend on and trust.
Focusing on your unique vision & goals, as well as my creative, professional skills allows me to create a personalized approach to every client. My goal is to bring out your best features, so that you shine, not to make you look like everyone else! Yes, we do! Ballroom Makeup Artistry specializes in makeup and hairstyling for ballroom and Latin dancers. We also provide other makeup and hair services such as for film & TV, special events, glamour,… Contact us if you’d like more info or to book an appointment with us.
Please arrive to your makeup appointment with a clean face (no makeup). It’s best to cleanse/wash your face followed by your usual skincare routine (toner, serum, moisturizer) prior to your makeup appointment so that more time can be spent on your makeup application.
Please arrive with clean (no products) and straight hair. You may wash your hair prior to your appointment, but please do not arrive with wet hair, as we will not be able to style wet hair.
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring inspirational photos of what you like, though it is not required. Please keep in mind that we are all unique and beautiful in our own ways, and have different features to highlight, so inspirational photos will be used as a guide, rather than an exact interpretation/expectation of our services.
